Last Design Team Thursday!

Happy Thursday Everyone,

I am sad to say, this will be my last Design Team with Joy at Joys Life as this term has come to an end! It has been a wonderful opportunity to work with such talented and supportive ladies for the past six months! Being on Joys Design Team was an experience I will never forget! 

Now onto my project. 
I used the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge to cut the strawberry, and the Elegant Edges Cartridge to cut the background behind the strawberry. If you don't have either of these cartridges I would definitely recommend them! 

Here is the card I created: 

I coloured the stem of the strawberry in with some Glossy Accents to give it a wonderful shine. The cute face I used on the strawberry is from the Princess Faces Assortment Pack. I used a Copic marker to create the blush on her face. 

I also added some white stitches using my Jelly Roll Pen around the edge of the card! I love the detail stitching adds to projects. Once you get the hang of it, it is fast and easy! 

Instead of just stamping my sentiment I decided to try the heat embossing technique. All you need to do is stamp your image using a watermark ink pad, and sprinkle embossing powder onto (I used white embossing powder). Tap off the excess powder and set with a heat gun! It is that easy to accomplish! The stamp comes from Joy's Yummy Puns Stamp Set, which you can check out here.
